How it works

  1. Send your project details with the form below: location, flooring type, approximate square footage or unit count, and timing. Attach plans or a finish schedule if you have them.
  2. We review it and refer you to a flooring installation partner who covers your area and project type, usually within one business day.
  3. The partner contacts you directly, reviews the site or plans and gives you a quote.
  4. You decide. If you go ahead, your contract, schedule and warranty are with the installer.

Please note: Estimate Florida is a construction estimating firm, not a flooring contractor. We don’t install flooring or contract for installation work. We introduce you to an installation partner, who is responsible for its own quote, contract, workmanship and warranty. As with any contractor, ask for proof of insurance and any license your city or county requires before you sign.

Check the quote with an independent estimate

Because we’re estimators first, we can also give you an independent number to compare installer quotes against: quantities by finish code, floor prep, moisture testing and mitigation, base, transitions and attic stock. That’s useful for owners, property managers and GCs who want to know a quote is complete before approving it. Flat fee from $750, or from $1,400 for large commercial projects. See flooring estimating.

What to have ready

  • Address or city and county.
  • Flooring type(s), or the finish schedule from your plans.
  • Approximate square footage, or the number of units for unit turns.
  • Whether existing flooring needs removal, and the subfloor type (concrete slab or wood).
  • Whether the building is occupied, and any after-hours or phasing needs.
  • Target start date.

On concrete slabs, moisture testing and floor prep often decide the schedule and the price. See our slab moisture testing guide and commercial flooring checklist for what to ask about.

Frequently asked questions

Does Estimate Florida install flooring?

No. We’re an estimating firm. We refer flooring installation requests to a partner, who quotes, contracts and performs the work directly with you.

What areas of Florida do you cover?

We accept commercial and multifamily flooring requests statewide, including South Florida, Tampa Bay and Central Florida. We’ll let you know if we can’t find a partner for your location.

Do you handle multifamily unit turns?

Yes. Apartment communities and property managers can send one-off turns or an ongoing turn program, and we’ll pass it to a partner set up for that kind of work.

Is there a cost to request a quote?

No. Sending your project details and getting a quote from the installation partner is free. An independent estimate from Estimate Florida is a separate flat-fee service, quoted before we start.

Who is responsible for the work and warranty?

The installation partner you contract with. Review their quote, insurance, any license your city or county requires, and warranty terms before you sign.
